365 Project: Day 2 – Baby It’s Cold Outside

Thermostat

Yes, I live on the surface of the sun. Only today, I’m on the part that doesn’t face earth. Oh, wait. That’s the moon. The moon is cold when it doesn’t face the sun. So, I’m on the moon. The dark side of the moon.

I’m bundled up in my own house. I refuse to turn on the heat because this is all so temporary. And it seems like 60 degrees is perfect sleeping temperature for one 8 year old currently residing in my house. I’m freezing! She’s dressed like it’s summer.

After I put her to bed, I check the thermostat. It is 35 degrees outside.

And no, I didn’t turn the heat on!

  1. Now, how did we feel when we woke up this morning to temps in the 20s? Because I have my heater now BLARING at a blistering 71 degrees.

I’m still wearing flip flops. Like you said, it’s so temporary.
