Are You Willing To Ask For Help?

by

Yesterday, I was the featured blogger at Enough Time Moms. The focus was on being vulnerable and allowing ourselves to ask for help. I’d love for you to read my post, I think it’s pretty good! My video today is a little follow up.

I appreciate your transparency and sharing so freely of yourself in this video, Sara.

“If anyone were to ask you for help, you would do it!” This is soooo true. And, you know what the beauty is of asking for help and admitting you’re not perfect? People feel more freedom to do the same-to admit they’re not perfect either, and don’t have it all together, and sometimes need help. So many times we avoid sharing our difficulties because we don’t want to “trust” anyone else with our pain. Yet, being vulnerable with your friends allows them to be vulnerable with you-it builds trust.

I’m really glad you shared this. I pray that you get continued healing for the situation that happened 4 years ago.

Just have to say I love you. Sharing is hard and asking for help is harder. Its so built into who we are and how we were raised. I hope that we are teaching our children to do differently than we have–reach out and ask for help because you are loved.

Hugs!!

Rhonda,

Thank you! Asking for help was the one gene we didn’t seem to get. But, I think, that’s why even though we lived thousands of miles away 35+ yrs ago we became lifelong friends & sisters.
