Carmex Skin Care Review and Giveaway [CLOSED]

What better day to kick off a giveaway than Halloween – definitely a TREAT! Even better, it’s a chance to try 2 products from the new Carmex Skin Care line. I know many of you live back east and are digging out of snow. That cold weather sure can leave your skin in need of some TLC.

After 70 years of focusing on lip care, Carmex introduced a Healing Lotion and Healing Cream to bring that familiar yellow bottle and nostalgic Carmex scent to skin care. Enriched with Vitamin E, the Healing lotion is a non-greasy, light-weight daily dry skin protector while the Healing Cream is thicker to help repair your driest skin with a rich, non-greasy formula.

My hands are always so dry from washing them constantly and doing the dishes. For years I’ve been using one specific brand, so it was hard to put that aside to try out something new, not knowing if it will work. I was really surprised at how much I liked the Healing Cream. Normally I don’t like fragranced lotions. Well, I should say, normally, I don’t use fragranced lotions because CycleGuy is very sensitive.

The familiar scent of the pot of Carmex from my youth was one of the things that kept me going back. I found, though, that after about 3 days I needed to switch from the Healing Cream to the Healing Lotion because my hands no longer needed that extra help.

And while it’s winter in some parts of the country, here, I’m still in sandals and open toe shoes so I pay special attention to my feet. At night a slather on the Healing Lotion and slide on a pair of socks to help keep my heels soft. For me, it’s kinda gross to see a woman with icky heels wearing a nice pair of sandals. I did the socks at night program for a week and saw a noticeable difference. Now I just do that once every 4 or 5 nights.

The products are currently available at CVS, Walgreens and Walmart. The Suggested Retail Price for the full size tube is $5.99 and the ‘travel size’ is $0.99.

And because I don’t want you to suffer through the winter with dry, cracked skin, the maker of Carmex Skin Care has agreed give one of you an opportunity to try this yourself!

Carmex Skin Care Prize Pack (value $15.00) – Full size Healing Lotion, Full size, Healing Cream, ‘travel size’ Healing Lotion and ‘travel size’ Healing Cream.

When my skin gets dried out from too much dish washing or dry weather, I use Neutrogena hand cream. After your review, I am most interested in trying Carmex. Thanks for the review Sara.

Haven’t used Carmex in years, but loved their lip stuff as a teen. If you like their lotion, I’m sure it’s good….would love to try it! Thanks, Sara!
