Holiday Giving: Gifts That Give Back

This past August I headed to New York for the BlogHer Conference. While there I was invited to a dinner at Ponte Restaurant with Tavern Direct. It is there I met the founder, Lou Bivona. Before the iconic Tavern on the Green closed its doors, Lou obtained the retail rights for various food products.  He did this so that he could create a company that would have a philanthropic goal of supporting an organization that he has been involved with for decades, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

While I’ve only known him a short time, I truly consider Lou a friend. He was gracious beyond all expectations and has become one of my favorite emails every week. Tavern Direct is the featured company in RedPlum’s Holiday Trend focus for gifts that give back. For years, RedPlum has been a significant supporter of NCMEC. And this year they are putting out a holiday gift guide focusing on gifts under $15 and featuring gifts that give back.

I was able to test 4 of the balsamic vinegars and they were all phenomenal. Lou is a chef who is discerning and really went all out to create all-natural marinades, vinegars and dipping oils that would meet his expectations. I really think they would exceed your expectations as well.

For $15, Tavern Direct is offering a gift box with Central Park Dipping Oil, Blackberry Ginger Balsamic Vinegar, Citrus Balsamic Vinegar. This is a great deal for holiday hostess gifts or teacher gifts. If you have a discerning foodie on your holiday list, you can’t go wrong with anything that Lou has created.

There are even cooking videos. Here is a great one with Lou Bivona and John Walsh cooking together. Lou and John have been friends for a very long time and Lou is on the board of NCMEC with John and have such an ease with their cooking together. You’ll enjoy watching this.

Please, consider Tavern Direct as part of your holiday giving.

Note: there are no affiliate links in this post. I will not earn anything off your purchases. Please be as generous as you can and help Tavern Direct as it supports NCMEC.
