Is It OK to Just Be Alone?

by

We talk about ‘Me’ time and doing things for ourselves. But it’s always about ‘doing stuff’ – book club, working out, shopping, lunch with a friend. It’s as if just doing nothing is a crime! I’d like to propose doing nothing. N-O-T-H-I-N-G, Nothing! Just read a book or a magazine or, heck, take a nap. We need to stop thinking we have to be doing something. *note to self – heed ones own advice!*

I LOVE alone time. Literal, alone time. I have always been the type to need it. I don’t get nearly enough of it these days and sometimes it makes me cranky! I need to make more of an effort to get more of it.

Hi Melissa, I’m glad someone else thinks alone time (literal alone time) is needed and valuable. I have to get better at it. Thank you for visiting and sharing (and encouraging!).

Sara, this is such a great reminder that we all need to take “me” time and that doing so isn’t selfish but in fact, it replenishes us so we can be fully there for others. Great video. Thanks Sara.
