Making Time To Enjoy The Holidays

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post for Whole Foods Market Tucson – River Rd.

Hanukkah may be over, but the holiday season is still in full swing. And while I may not be decking my halls for the holidays, there’s a good chance I’ll be visiting friends for a holiday open house or sharing favorite holiday treats at a cookie exchange. But what to bring? While classic is always a good option, it can get a little boring. And, well, it’s a great time to share new dishes or bring something that’s a modern twist on a classic.

As you know, I’m a fan of Whole Foods. I like their prepared foods because they use fresh, organic ingredients I’d use at home but I don’t have to do the work so I can say YES to those holiday open house invitations and not stress about whether or not I have time to make something everyone will enjoy. I was thrilled to find out the Whole Foods Market store in Tucson on River Road is having a Dressing Rehearsal on December 13, 14 and 15.  The Dressing Rehearsal events are free in-store holiday tasting events featuring dishes from the bakery department, top ten wines, holiday dishes and more special holiday offerings in the store.

Why say no to the cookie exchange just because you don’t want to stay up late baking cookies when Whole Foods has your back? Sure, homemade cookies would be nice. But this time of year it’s also about getting together and laughing, catching up, and spending time with people we care about.

What I love about these Dressing Rehearsal events is that I can find something new or classic and there will be experts on hand to help take the stress out of deciding what to take to the open house or cookie exchange. These events are also great if you’re the host of the party so you can find foods that will keep you mingling and enjoying your guests instead of being stuck in the kitchen.

During the holiday season we’re more likely to host or attend events, but it can add a bit of stress. So push stress aside, and let Whole Foods Market be your secret weapon. I did for Hanukkah and Thanksgiving, and no one was the wiser! *wink wink* If you have any special dietary needs, Whole Foods probably has something you could pick up and take with you. Whether it’s Vegan, Gluten-Free, Kosher, Paleo, or Halal there are delicious options.

If you want to make a tasty snack that’s sure to be a hit at work or for an open house try these Everything Bagel Mixed Nuts. Don’t they look easy and delicious?
