RAOK Challenge – Day 9: Twitter Follow Friday

Welcome to Day 9 of the Random Act of Kindness Challenge. I’m thrilled at the number of people who have decided to join me and Valerie in our goal to find small but meaningful ways to spread kindness. If you haven’t already grabbed our button, please do so and let everyone know you’re doing your part to make each day as nice as can be not just for you but for others as well.

Are you on Twitter? I’m on Twitter – @Saving4Someday. My friend Valerie is on Twitter too – @vdemetros. If you’re on twitter, consider following us. Valerie is an author and gluten-free cook and she tweets all kinds of awesomeness. Me, well, I ramble on some times and I try to be funny and interesting.

Friday is known as follow friday on Twitter. The whole idea is to use the hashtag #ff or #followfriday and share with others people who are on Twitter that you think are cool and that you suggest others follow. Many people will put a few twitter handles in one post and then the #ff and that’s how they share other great Tweeple.

Today, however, I suggest you try a different approach. If you are doing a Follow Friday, tell others why you think they should follow the person your suggesting. You may really like someone for a reason that might not be evident to the average person. Highlight your friend and let them and others know why you think they are special.

If I don’t already follow you on twitter, let me know your twitter handle and I’ll add you. See you in Twitterland!
