Read Kiddo Read: Find Books Your Kids Will Love

by

Read-Kiddo-Read

I have been looking for a site just like Read Kiddo Read FOR-EV-ER!  When BabyGirl started to read I had plenty of books for her and I made many homemade books for her too.  She was really young when she started to read and now BabyGirl can’t get enough of books.  Right now, if I went counted all the books that are at some state of being read I’d probably find at least 6 around the house.

Read Kiddo Read is a fabulous website that give parents information on what books would be appropriate for their children.  It covers books from Read-To-Me-Mommy books for toddlers all the way up to sophisticated topics for tweens.  If you’re looking for books boys might like, there is a separate section that has books for boy and books for girls.

Read Kiddo Read is put together by James Patterson.  James Patterson has been the number-one selling author in America for the past three years, with more than 16 million books sold in North America during 2007 alone. He is the first author to have #1 new titles simultaneously on The New York Times adult and children’s lists.

If  you are looking at books on Amazon or Borders or Barnes and Noble and not sure if it would be appropriate or if the reviews are on the mark, check out Read Kiddo Read.  If you know a child loves certain books, Read Kiddo Read will give you associated books that your young reader might like also.  I have found this site to be an invaluable resource for books I would like for BabyGirl to read.  As an advanced reader I’m often concerned about the content of books that would challenge her because there are topics I’m not ready to discuss with her until she’s a bit older.  Many of my fellow homeschooling moms have greatly appreciated the detail and variety provided by Read Kiddo Read.  I think you’ll love it too!

Books always make a great gift and this site is one of the best resources I’ve found that allows you to browse books that have been hand picked by someone who really wants kids to read and love books.
