Red Lobster Copy Cat Cheddar Bay Biscuits

I’m not a big fan of Red Lobster, except that I love their Cheddar Bay Biscuits.  Sure, I’m not supposed to eat them because I’m fairly certain that they are full of ingredients found at The Wheat Store (affectionately given to all foods containing wheat), but they are so good that I risk illness to eat them.

My BFF, ZoniDuck, figured out how to make them and shared the recipe with me.  I share it with you.  And now, we never have to go to Red Lobster again (because I know you, too, only really went there for the biscuits).

I have not yet made them, but does watching count?  It looked easy enough and they were mixed and ready before the oven beeped to say it was time to put in the tasty nuggets of golden cheesy goodness.  I hope you enjoy these as much as my family has.

Red Lobster Copy Cat Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 Cups biscuit mix (we used Bisquick)
2/3 Cup Milk (we used 2%)
1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
1/4 Cup Butter (melted)
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 teaspoon Dried Parsley

Method:

Preheat oven to 450 degree. Combine biscuit mix, milk, and cheddar cheese until soft dough forms; beat vigorously for 30 seconds. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley.  Generously brush the melted butter mixture over warm biscuits before removing from cookie sheet. Serve warm. Make 10-12 biscuits.
