Safeway Gas Rewards Program Helps You Save At The Pump

by

Safeway Fuel Rewards Program

The Safeway Gas Reward Points promotion in Phoenix is underway!

Saving money at the pump is something we’re all trying to achieve. With school in full swing, there’s lots of driving and any time we can save money just by doing what we normally do is a good thing. Safeway’s Gas Rewards Program was created to help us do just that – fuel our family and save money when we fuel our vehicle!

Here’s how the program regularly works:

Shop at Safeway and use your Club Card:

  • Each $1 spent on groceries = 1 point
  • Each $1 spent on qualifying gift cards = 2 points
  • Each prescription filled = 50 points

Every 100 points get you 10¢ off per gallon for a single fill-up at a Safeway gas station. You can use your points in increments of 100 and use up to 1000 points for a single fill-up.

  • 100 points = 10¢ off per gallon
  • 200 points = 20¢ off per gallon
  • 500 points = 50¢ off per gallon
  • 1000 points = $1 off per gallon

And now through December 10, earn 4x Gas Reward Points when you purchase qualifying gift cards! For every $1 you spend, you’ll earn four points.  You can buy gift cards and use like cash to quickly earn Gas Reward Points. There are plenty of gift card options to earn your 4X points – for example, Subway, Starbucks, Chili, Applebees, iTunes, Lowes, Olive Garden and so much more!

Of course there are rules and regulations so check the Gas Reward Points FAQ page for all the details and exclusions. It’s a free program, but the points do expire so you’ll want to know that information. For example, buying AMEX and Visa gift cards don’t qualify for the program, and alcohol, tobacco, lottery tickets and fluid dairy products (i.e., milk) are excluded.

Points can be earned at any Safeway (excluding Hawaii), Dominick’s, Vons, Pavilions, Carrs/Safeway, Randalls or Tom Thumb stores.
