Simchat Torah: A New Beginning

The other day Honey from Sunflower Schoolhouse had me guest post about Simchat Torah. It’s the last of the holy days that make up the Jewish New Year celebrations. It’s a wonderfully fun celebration, and BabyGirl’s favorite (even more than Hanukkah!).

This holiday is both an ending and beginning. Simchat Torah marks when Jews around the world will once again re-roll the torah scrolls and read the word Bereishit (pronounce buh-ray-sheet) which is roughly translated as ‘In The Beginning’.

You can learn more about Simchat Torah by visiting Sunflower Schoolhouse.  Thank you for supporting my blog as well as Honey’s!
