When You Wander for 40 Years You Travel Light

As the Jewish New Year continues, we are celebrating Sukkot (pronounce soo-coat). My friend Mara wrote about Sukkot and how her family celebrates. Mara blogs at Kosher on a Budget and lived in Israel for several years. She and her husband build a sukkah in their backyard and enjoy family meals in it. I think you’ll her post over at Marketplace Mommies.

This year in New York City, Sukkah City will be built. On September 19th and 20th, 12 structures were built in Union Square. One was chosen to stand for the 7 days of Sukkot – The People’s Choice of Sukkah City. It’s such a cool concept. Next year it will go worldwide!
