Whole Foods One Day Sale 10/29: Organic Honeycrisp Apples

Whole Foods Market is celebrating fall with a special one day sale on ORGANIC Honeycrisp apples. On October 29th, ORGANIC Honeycrisp apples will be just $1.49 a pound, which is a 50% savings. I’ve heard a lot about these apples. I love apples, my favorites have always been Macintosh. I like crispy apples. But Macintosh are always expensive and rarely do I find organic. So now I’m intrigued.

From what I’ve read, Honeycrisps have are sweet and have a crisp juicy texture.  Sounds good to me!  They’re said to be similar in texture to an Asian Pear. I can do that. And, Honeycrisps are also great for slow roasting, dumpling baking, cider brewing, caramel dipping and more. Here are a few Honeycrisp recipes from the Whole Foods website.

Oh my goodness! Wow!

Storytime: when I lived in Denton, Texas, our company used to order Honeycrisp apples around this time of year every year. They would order enough for each person to have 5 apples. They are seriously the most yummiest ever!

I will definately be heading to Whole Foods soon!

OK, so 3 people I trust are singing the praises of these honeycrisp apples. I’m going to be there knocking down old ladies and babies to get me some of these! Well, I won’t really knock anyone down but I’m hot-footing it to Whole Foods on Friday.
