Friday, June 10 ONLY Whole Food will have their ssuper sweet sea scallops on sale in the fresh seafood case for only $9.99 a pound! This deal is valid at all Whole Food Markets!

I don’t eat scallops, but what I do know is that when I buy them for guests I want to get top quality. I don’t buy them that often because they do tend to be expensive but with CycleGuy’s birthday and Father’s Day coming up we’ll have friends over and this will be an extra special addition to our normal grilling fare.

Scallops are the perfect protein for summer since they take only minutes to cook. Scallops make tasty little kabobs for the grill. Two things I like – quick and outdoor grilling so my house doesn’t heat up.

Here are a few recipes I’m considering, maybe they’ll tickle your fancy too!

According to the Whole Foods website, these scallops are caught just off the coast of Eastern Canada and are frozen at sea to lock in their flavor.  And they’re from a Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)-certified fishery to boot, which means that the scallop population is abundant and the fishery is well managed.

So plan to get your budget friendly, sustainable seafood from a market you know and respect.

I SO need to check those out. We had our kitchen redone last year on the show Fix This Kitchen. Graham Elliot (on Master Chef this season) helped design it. He made the most amazing scallops in MY kitchen. I’m honored. A little salt and a little oil in the pan. That was it! Plus an incredible sauce, of course.

Hello Heidi, I have a celebrity among my readers? WOW, I’m honored!

I’m so glad you’ll be able to recreate that special recipe and not break your budget. Total win-win in my book!

If only I liked scallops. They always look so delish at restaurants. Instead, I’ll just try to make them. And your way is my kinda way – easy, simple but out of this world!

Thank you for visiting and sharing,
Sara
